If you only know the problem, start with the next section, or call (310) 542-6988.
Where to Start
- You are missing a tooth, or one needs to come out. Start with restorative dentistry. The usual options are an implant, a bridge or a denture; an exam with imaging shows which suit you.
- Your gums bleed, look puffy or have pulled back. Start with periodontal care for gum disease. A deep cleaning is often the first treatment.
- You want straighter or brighter teeth. Start with cosmetic dentistry. Aligners move teeth; bonding and veneers cover chips and small gaps.
- You feel nervous about dental visits. Start with general and family dentistry, which covers anxiety support and sedation. Tell us when you book.
- You are booking for a child. Start with dental care for children, from a baby’s first teeth onward.
Not sure which applies? A routine checkup tells you what is going on before you choose a treatment.
General and Family Dentistry
This is the everyday care that keeps small problems small. According to the CDC, 25.3% of U.S. adults aged 45 to 64 had untreated tooth decay in 2015 to 2018, and regular exams catch decay while it is still easy to fix.
- Dental Anxiety Treatment: for patients who dread appointments, with the pace adjusted to what helps.
- Dental Cleanings & Exams: routine checkups and cleanings for adults.
- Emergency Dental Care
- First Dental Visit: what happens at your first appointment.
- Laser Dentistry: lasers used in cosmetic and restorative treatment.
- Night Guards: custom guards for people who grind or clench at night, to protect teeth from wear.
- Root Canal Therapy: saves an infected or inflamed tooth by cleaning and sealing the inside of it.
- Sedation Dentistry: laughing gas, oral sedation and IV sedation for patients who need help staying calm.
- Sleep Apnea Treatment: oral appliances for adults with sleep apnea, plus information for parents of children who have it.
- Sports Mouth Guards: custom-fitted guards that cushion teeth and soft tissue during contact sports.
- TMJ Treatment: evaluation and conservative care for jaw pain, clicking and stiffness.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic treatment changes the color, shape, spacing or alignment of your teeth.
- Dental Bonding: tooth-colored resin that reshapes sharp, chipped, misshapen or gapped teeth.
- Dental Veneers: thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth to cover chips or discoloration.
- Invisalign® Clear Aligners: removable clear aligners that straighten teeth gradually without brackets or wires.
- Teeth Whitening: dentist-supervised whitening with NiteWhite and DayWhite to lighten the natural color of your teeth.
- Smile Makeover: one plan that combines cosmetic and restorative treatments for several concerns at once.
Restorative Dentistry
Restorative care repairs damaged teeth and replaces missing ones. The right choice depends on how many teeth are involved, your gums and the bone that is left.
- All-on-4® Implants: a full arch of fixed teeth held by four implants, for people missing most or all of their teeth.
- Chao Pinhole® Technique: a way of treating gum recession through a small opening in the gum rather than a larger incision.
- Dental Bridges: false teeth anchored to the teeth beside a gap, often a lower-cost way to replace missing teeth.
- Dental Implants: a post placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth, topped with a custom crown.
- Digital Dentures: full or partial dentures planned from 3D images of your mouth for a more accurate fit.
- Full-Mouth Reconstruction: a staged plan that rebuilds many or all of your teeth after extensive decay, wear or tooth loss.
- Same-Day Dental Crowns: custom ceramic crowns designed, milled and placed in a single visit using CEREC.
- Tissue-Engineering Biologics (L-PRF Therapy): uses healing factors concentrated from your own blood to support recovery after dental surgery.
Periodontics and Gum Disease Treatment
Gum disease often causes no pain early on, so it is easy to miss. Treatment ranges from a deep cleaning to surgery, and most people start at the simplest end.
- Bone Grafting: rebuilds bone lost to gum disease, or adds bone so a dental implant has enough support.
- Crown Lengthening: reshapes gum tissue to expose more of a tooth, to hold a crown or even out a gummy smile.
- Gum Recession Treatment: options for gums that have pulled back from the roots of the teeth.
- Laser Pocket Reduction: uses a laser to treat the pockets gum disease forms between the gums and teeth.
- Perio Protect®: custom trays that hold medication against the gums to help manage gum disease between visits.
- Periodontal Maintenance: cleanings on a closer schedule after gum disease treatment, to help keep it under control.
- Periodontal Surgery: for areas badly damaged by gum disease that a deep cleaning cannot reach.
- Scaling and Root Planing: a deep cleaning below the gumline, and usually the first treatment for gum disease.
- Soft Tissue Grafting: adds gum tissue where it has receded.

- CEREC: designs and mills ceramic crowns in the office from a digital scan.
- Cone Beam Technology: 3D imaging of the teeth and jaw for diagnosis and implant planning.
- Full Photographic Cosmetic Studio: detailed photos for smile analysis and before-and-after records.
- Solea® Laser: a dental laser used for a range of procedures.
- Surgical Navigation System: computer guidance that helps place dental implants precisely.
What Treatment Costs and How to Pay
Cost depends on the treatment, the number of teeth and any work needed first, so the accurate number comes from an exam. Published ranges:
- Dental implants: $3,000 to $6,000 per implant, including the abutment and crown
- All-on-4 implants: $20,000 to $30,000 per arch
- Full-mouth reconstruction: $30,000 to over $100,000, depending on the plan
- Same-day crowns: $1,200 to $2,000 per tooth
For anything else, ask for an estimate at your visit. We accept PPO plans, and you can ask us how your plan applies to the treatment you need. For costs your plan does not cover, we offer payment plans through Cherry, CareCredit and LendingClub, and an in-office plan for patients without insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should you not do before seeing a dentist?
Before seeing a dentist, keep up your usual brushing and flossing, since brushing more just before a visit does not change what the exam finds. Bring a list of every medication and supplement you take, and do not leave out a symptom because it seems minor. If you are anxious, say so when you book.
What is the most feared dental procedure?
Root canals and extractions are procedures many people worry about. The tooth is numbed with local anesthetic before treatment, and sedation is available for patients who need more help staying calm.
Where is it cheapest to get dental work done?
The cheapest place to get dental work done varies by treatment, and the lowest price is not always the lowest total cost. A small cavity found at a checkup costs far less to treat than the crown or root canal it can turn into. At Redondo Beach Dental Group, PPO coverage, an in-office plan and payment plans can all reduce what you pay up front.
Does Redondo Beach Dental Group see children?
Redondo Beach Dental Group sees patients of all ages, including babies and young children. Children’s care covers first visits, cleanings and exams, fluoride, sealants, fillings and crowns.
Does Redondo Beach Dental Group accept insurance?
Redondo Beach Dental Group accepts PPO dental plans and offers an in-office plan for patients without insurance. Ask us how your plan applies to the treatment you need before you book it.
Which service should I book if I am not sure what I need?
If you are not sure which service you need, book a checkup. The exam tells you what is going on, and from there your dentist can explain the options and what each one involves before you decide anything.
